Why monotony is the way to God.

Well, Father, you have truly understood the spirit of Benedictine life as Dom Hervé Courau tried to teach me back in 1997. Christianity can thrive in a monastery or in a village of simple lay people who have never lived anywhere else. Yearning and longing can be dangerous. We all need that sense of ordinary routine in our daily prayer and work so that the imagination may be disciplined and kept in order. Thank you for this talk.
