I found this wonderful blog, which I'll now append to my links on the side here.

I've already used this cartoon at my church. Considering that, at Midnight Mass, instead of the intercessions we had a poem about Father Christmas praying for help delivering the presents, I think it's applicable to both the Liberal wing of the Roman Catholic Church and the present mush of the C of E.

Not one of my better doodles. It's supposed to be my friend Ed Pacht from the Anglican Continuum blog. I've done better than this but he's usually being chased by ravening wolf-spiders and vampires. Says a lot about our friendship doesn't it?

Heart speaks to heart.

Cardinal Newman's motto, heart speaks to heart seems unsual for an intellectual giant as he was. Should it not have been Mens ad mentem loquitur?

No.

The heart (the figurative heart that is, not the large muscle in the centre of the thorax pumping blood) is where the colloquy between Man and God takes place. It is here that human beings can (if they desire) come into colloquy with others. Newman's motto, for me, speaks of how the Truth should be transmitted.
